No More Flood Insurance?

Preliminary data shows that 2/3 of properties in Dare County could be removed from the 100 year flood plain.  FEMA still needs to approve these flood maps, but should they be approved, the Outer Banks could see a cost reduction associated with carrying flood insurance (which is required if there is a loan on a property).  This could have a positive affect to the Outer Banks real estate values to boot. read full story...
